The Condition Note —
The ring is in good antique condition. The ring has a lovely patina on its surface from age. At the junction of the shoulder and the head, we see discoloration on the metal because the solder used to weld jewellery together contained a higher concentration of base metals—such as silver—than the surrounding gold alloy during the 19th century. The ring does show signs of resizing at the base of the shank. Please look at the images closely, as condition assessments can be subjective.
